Canary Islands Biodiversity Redoubts

posted in: , Cultura | 0

The documentary “Canarias Reducto de Biodiversidad” is a work, co-produced by Canary Television, the Canary Islands Government and Caja Canarias, and the participation of the seven island councils. “Canarias reductos de bioversidad” is among the highlights of the production of nature documentaries from around the world.

It shows the processes of colonization and evolution, little known and even unpublished aspects in the strategies between animals and plants unique in the world. The Canary Islands is a privileged enclave for life. A small territory almost lost in the Atlantic, which hosts more than 13,000 species, many of them endemic, trapped at a crossroads of landscapes and climates. Although very transformed throughout their existence, they still enclose corners where life is almost alien to the passage of time; they are true redoubts of biodiversity, the common thread of this series.

We leave the full video of the island of Gran Canaria.
